By taking its name from the Grange Movement of the turn of the 19th century, this project seeks to reposition the urban post-industrial landscape as neither derelict nor spectacle through a spatial reorganization that encourages the social and political participation of inhabitants and a reworking of the notion of private property. As such, it is a response to the spiritual and social anomie of the present landscape as well as the impending ecological and economic crises on the horizon.
